I love #GorillaGlue almost as much as I love E6000. You can use it indoor, outdoor, and in a large temperature range. You can paint it, sand it, stain it, drill it and saw it. Also, it won't damage your tools.
It's also easy and cheap to use on #Styrofoam . This is great for making props or outdoor scenes. It's stiff, not felixible like E6000, but you can also use it as a wood filler instead of your standard wood glue.
Buy it anywhere from walmart, target, fred meyer, home depot, lowes, Michaels, Joanns, Hobby Lobby, CVS and even Office Depot. It's cheap, easy and inexpensive.

    yeah, it's a HAIRLINE crack….too thin for that. I may try clear epoxy…it needs to be liquid and hopefully seap into the crack to the inside to seal it. someone suggested Superglue for that reason. Anyway…open to any other suggestions..concrete would be too thick to penetrate.

    • @MakerHighSchool
      @MakerHighSchool 17 днів тому

      Hmm....have you seen any of the videos on repairing guitar fret boards? They mix superglue with sawdust. Maybe something like that might work? I think the E6000 is just too thick, unless you used like a credit card or something to force it in, and the excess would be easy to scrape off. Otherwise, yeah, I'd have to say superglue with the ultra fine tip. Good luck, whatever you decide to try!

    Do you think it would work to patch a hairline crack in a large OLLA? (I think concrete, shaped like a tall Egyptian looking pot) It's about 5' tall with a hairline crack about a third of the way up running around the diameter about a third of the way) I want to keep the crack from spreading if possible. It won't have water in it…just hoping this product will work. If not do you have better idea?

    • @MakerHighSchool
      @MakerHighSchool 20 днів тому

      You can buy small bags of concrete. I'd mix enough to put into a ziploc, snip the end, and then pipe a line in. Then, use a gloved finger to smooth out/remove the excess. That's what I'd try. Good luck, whatever you decide to do.

    Thank you so so much for this review it was excellent. I think you did a great job. The warnings on the labels made me look again at people like me who have sensitive skin but enjoy crafts using glue and the warnings state that we should avoid getting it on our skin and use a respirator. "This product can expose you to chemicals including perchloroethylene which is known to the State of California to cause cancer." Tested on animals at high doses. Please be aware.

      As long as there's current running to the gun, there's a possibility for the wired connection to "pop" and catch fire, even if it's UL rated. It's very rare, but it does happen.

    • @MakerHighSchool

      I've used both, and I think it depends on how good you are at controlling the spray. I'm not very coordinated, so I'd go gorilla glue. If you have great distribution and control with the spray, I'd say that's your best bet.

    I always get those dollar tree application bottles with the screw top, then transfer the whole new tube into the applicator bottle. I find it doesn't take long for the metal tube to crack somewhere and you have e6000 everywhere you don't want it and the rest is trashed. This way, it never plugs up because I keep it stored upside down in my tray, when it gets low, I just put it right side up and refill. It's nice because the application tip makes for knowing exactly where and how much you are applying. All my bottles are clearly marked with what they are. I do this with my epoxies that come in big metal tubes too! Makes things so much easier and cleaner

      Every time I've tried using those, the plastic ends up warping? I bought them online, but I'll try the ones from dollar tree. They might be made with different polymers that won't react to the glue. Great tip. Thanks for sharing!

    This glue fails when it comes to tips for usage. Print is too darn small to read without magnifying glass. If you plan to use it in the evening after work or weekend WHEN MOST PEOPLE DO fix up jobs u can forget it. The he help phone # has the same hours as everybody’s job. Even after clean both surfaces well with Acetone, a good drying the glue was miserable to handle and pu fed would not stick together, glass figurine repair is probably not gonna happen. Very disappointed

      Oh, that's awful! Maybe you got old? Some glues degrade and/or or separate over time. I'd call customer service when they're open and see if you can either get a replacement or a refund. Did it say it was the smell free version? I've had some issues with that one, but I'm still putting my thoughts together on it. Side note, when I have print that small, I take open the photo app on my phone, aim it over the text, and zoom in. If it's still too small, I take a pic and then zoom in. Hope that helps!

      Aw, thanks! Yeah, turning on chapters literally cut my ad revenue in half, which is why a lot of people went back to the old format. Once I get back to uploading, I may go back and change it for a bit to help my newer videos get traction, but I'm on team, "Cut to the chase" as well. 😆
